How to Connect FTP with a Browser

If FTP Clients are not accessible on a computer you are using, another way to connect to your web space is a browser. You may use any browser that is available to you, make sure that your browser is up to date as well.

Follow the steps below on how to connect to your web space using your browser:

Step 1. Open a browser.
Step 2. Enter FTP link: ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/ or ftp://ftp.host.vodien.com
Replace yourdomain.com with the Domain Name for your hosting/website or use your Server Information.

Step 3. A pop-up will come up, asking for your FTP Credentials. Click Sign In.

Once you are connected to the web space, you’ll be able to see a page ‘Index of/’ where you can see all your directories. You may access each directory/folders as well as download files. A drawback with using a browser is that you are not able to upload files, this should be done using an FTP Client.
