How to Create a New MySQL Database User

To manage larger amounts of information over the web easily, you can have multiple databases for your website. This gains much more security and yields more performance benefits than scaling up one big database.

To create a new MySQL Database, here are the steps:

Step 1. Log in to the cPanel using this link format: http://yourdomain.com/cpanel/
Replace yourdomain.com with the Main Domain Name connected to your hosting.
Step 2. Click MySQL® Databases under Databases panel.

Step 3. Type in the database name and click Create Database. You will be redirected to a message prompt that it is successful. Click Go Back once done.
Proceed to Step 4 if there is an existing database.

Step 4. Type in the New User and Password and click Create User. You will be redirected to a message prompt that it is successful. Click Go Back once done.

Step 5. The user must be connected to a database. Choose on the user and database and click on Add.

Step 6. Tick the box for ALL PRIVILEGES and click Make Changes.

Once done, you will be redirected to a message saying it is successful.
