Disable SiteSentry

During the initial upload and/or development phase of your website, there will be multiple changes in your hosting account as you constantly update the files. If your email address is listed in the Contact Info on cPanel, you may wish to temporarily disable the daily SiteSentry alerts during your work-in-progress. To disable SiteSentry, you may simple create a flag file (.disable-sitesentry) at the Home Directory, which will trigger a “no delivery” action by the system.
Steps to disable SiteSentry alerts

  1. Log-in to cPanel (http://www.your-domain-name/cpanel)
  2. Find and click on ‘File Manager’, and at the ‘File Manager Director Selection’ pop-up
