Email Errors – Full Mailbox

One of the most common user problems when it comes to emails is a full mailboxVodien system has limitations on how much email can reside on the server for each user. Once the limit is reached, in case someone sends you an email, they’ll receive a bounce back saying your mailbox is full.

Examples of Full Mailbox messages:

SMTP error from remote mail server after RCPT TO:<user@example.com>: 452 <user@example.com> Mailbox size limit exceeded 

<user@example.com>: User is over the quota. You can try again later. 

<user@example.com>: host in7.example.com said: 552 <user@example.com>… Mailbox is full 

Mailbox limit exceeded while appending message 550 <user@example.com>… Can’t create output 

<user@example.com>: host mail9.example.com said: 552 Requested mail action aborted: exceeded storage allocation 

If you encounter such error, we recommend getting in touch with the recipient in a different way to let them know. In any case, your mailbox is experiencing the error we recommend deleting emails that are unwanted or click the guided link on how to change mailbox quota.
