You may enable or disable auto upgrade of applications installed from Softaculous through the cPanel. However, not all applications have the Auto Upgrade option. Here are some that can be enabled and disabled:
If the application you are using is not listed above, kindly follow the instructions below to see if the Auto Upgrade option is available. If not, you may need to manually update the version of the application. Before doing so, do not forget to do a backup of your files and database.
Auto upgrade of applications installed from Softaculous via cPanel
Step 1. Log in to the cPanel.
Step 2. Click on Softaculous Apps Installer under Software panel.
Step 3. Located at the upper right-hand corner of the Softaculous page are icons. Click All Installations icon.
Step 4. Look for the application you want to modify and click Edit Details icon which is the pencil icon.
Step 5. Look for Auto Upgrade in the Edit Installation Details. Tick the check box to enable and leave unchecked to disable.
Step 6. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save Installation Details button.
The installation details were edited successfully. You may click on Return to Overview link if there are more applications you want to edit.
