Blogger, as you get from its name, is a blog-publishing service that allows multi-user blogs with time-stamped entries. This is powered by Google and is generally accessed from a subdomain of blogspot.com, i.e., yourusername.blogspot.com.
If you’ve registered a domain with Vodien, you can easily connect it to your Blogger website by doing two things:
|Note: The steps in this guide will only work if your Vodien registered domain is using Vodien’s name servers:|
You can access your Vodien account manager and follow this linked guide to check and update your name servers before mapping your domain with Blogger.
Step 1: Map Your Vodien Domain
Add your domain name on Blogger with the steps below:
Step 1. On the left of your All posts page, click Settings and select Basic.
Step 2. Under Publishing section, click the link +Set up a third-party URL for your blog.
Step 3. Type your domain in the Third-party domain setting field. Make sure to add ‘www’ at the beginning of the domain.
Step 4. Click Save.
An error message will come up, you will be asked to add your CNAME records to verify your domain. Proceed to step 2.
|Important: You may redirect your non-www domain (yourdomain.com) to your Blogger site. After updating your DNS Records, you may go back to your Blogger settings to do this.|
Step 2: Update Your DNS Records
Once you get your CNAME records, you may go to this linked guide on how to manage your DNS records.
