PrestaShop is an e-commerce based website application which you can use if you have an online business and selling of products. Aside from installing it via Softaculous Apps Installer in cPanel, you may also manually install PrestaShop. Please be guided by the instructions below.
- domain or subdomain name must be pointed to the correct directory
- MySQL Database (You may create a new one)
Manually install PrestaShop
Step 2. Unzip the file from your local drive.
Step 3. Connect to your FTP. (The image below uses FileZilla on Mac.)
Step 4. Access your PrestaShop site. Wait for the installation page to load.
Step 5. Select a language and click “Next”.
Step 6. Tick the checkbox “I agree to the above terms and conditions” and click “Next”.
Step 7. PrestaShop will then check if your server is compatible with its system requirements. Click “Next” when it has the compatibility verified information.
Step 8. Enter the Store information and Your Account details. Click “Next”.
Step 9. Enter your database information and click “Next”.
Step 10. PrestaShop will begin the store installation process which may take a few minutes.
Step 11. You will be prompted that the installation is finished.
Step 12. Delete the /install folder from your PrestaShop directory.
