If you don’t have access to the Control Panel or Vodien Account Manager, Joomla can still be installed via FTP. Follow the instructions below on how to install it.
Step 1. Access the Joomla download page.
Step 2. Click the Download Joomla! 3.9.23 button. This button is for the new Joomla installation. While the button beside it is used to upgrade existing Joomla installations.
Step 3. Wait for the download to finish.
Step 4. Locate the file on your computer and extract the compressed file.
Step 5. From your computer, upload all files and folders inside the Joomla_3.9.23-Stable-Full_Package folder to the FTP. You can follow this link to see how to upload files and folders to FTP client.
Step 6. Access your website’s domain or subdomain on the web browser without the HTTP.
Step 7. Enter all details needed in each box under Configuration tab.
Step 8. Click either the Database tab or the Next button to proceed to the next tab.
Step 9. Enter the database details asked in each box. These details were set up at the time the database was created. The boxes highlighted below are the ones needed to be obtained from your web host.
Step 10. Click either the Overview tab or the Next button to proceed to the next tab.
Step 11. Review all details under Overview tab. If all information is confirmed to be correct, click the Install button.
Step 12. A message about the successful installation will show on the next page. Joomla will require you to remove the installation folder. Click the Remove “installation” folder button.
You can now click the Administrator button or access the link yourdomain.com/administrator (yourdomain.com is the domain of your website) to login to the admin page of the website.
