How to Transfer Domain Name Ownership

WARNING: This process is only available for the Vodien clients who are transferring domain ownership within Vodien.

A transfer of domain name ownership is usually requested by the Registrant when the domain is sold to an interested party or the Registrant’s business is sold. When you, as an individual or business, register a domain name, you immediately become the legal owner of the said domain. Your information will be shown as the Registrant of the domain name on any WHOIS database.

What Will Change

The domain’s current Registrant, Administration, Billing, and Technical contact details will be changed. This is legally handing the domain and its ownership to the individual or new business owners.

After the process, the domain will also be transferred over to the new owner’s account and is given full access, management, and legal rights to the domain.

How to Request for Transfer

You will need to request the transfer of the domain name to the new owner’s account by sending an email. The request email should come from the Current Owner\s Registrant email address. Follow the format below when sending the request:

All information contained in this transfer is true, complete and correct, and not misleading.”

The New Owner is also required to send an acknowledgement email to us, confirming the request for transfer of ownership. The email must come from the New Owner’s registered email address, or the email connected to the receiving Vodien account. Follow the format below when sending the request:
